Having originally debuted under JTG Entertainment back in 2017, the group has gone through a number of reiterations and different line-ups. That’s why today we’re going to introduce you to the current talented lineup of the girl group, BUSTERS!

The original BUSTERS (버스터즈 β) lineup debuted in 2017, but after several lineup changes, the group were eventually disbanded in August 2020. After a brief hiatus and one last lineup reorganization, the group was rebranded to POWER BUSTERS (known colloquially as just ‘BUSTERS’) and debuted again in April 2022 with their album ‘Re:Born’. This was their first release in almost two years, and they soon followed it up with their latest release, ‘Tropical Romance’ - let’s start by meeting the new lineup.

Starting off with the leader Jieun, alongside being the group’s leader she also serves as the lead vocalist. She joined the old BUSTERS lineup back in 2019, replacing the ex-member Kim Minji, and despite her young age of just 17 years old, her younger sister (Jeon) Minji is also a member of the group at the young age of 16! Within BUSTERS Minji holds the positions of vocalist, rapper and leader dancer.
Outside of their idol activities the two sisters already have plenty of experience in the limelight as Jieun hosts her own YouTube channel 자매TV often featuring her sister, and has also has experience as a child actress, having appeared in many commercials and dramas. On the other hand, Minji has idol experience as she was previously a part of the group Y.E.S.
Next up are the two Japanese members, Seira and Takara who have been friends since before debut as they both trained together in Japan at GP Studio. As a result of their time at the studio, Takara is also close friends with the sister of TWICE’s Momo, as she used to teach in the studio! Seira has the vocalist position within BUSTERS, whereas Takara holds the positions of vocalist, rapper and main dancer. On top of already being a triple-fret, Takara is also trilingual, speaking Japanese, Korean and English.
Last but certainly not least is the maknae of the group, Yunji; at just the age of 15, Yunji serves as the main vocalist and visual of the group, showing incredible potential despite being so young. She also had an incredibly short training period as she was only introduced to the group in October 2021, but clearly she was able to match well with her members, allowing her to debut as part of the new BUSTERS.
After their re-debut in April, the group recently had another comeback with the single ‘Tropical Romance’ on 11 July 2022, and as the name suggested the song has a refreshing beach theme that is perfect for the summer. The track is an upbeat dance track with a catchy chorus, while the music video is set on a bright and colorful scenic beach.
What’s more, it’s clear that BUSTERS have already built up a dedicated fan base, as their fans ‘Beochu’ worked together to fundraise for a present to congratulate the group on their latest comeback. Through working with Kooky who hosted the support project, global Beochus were able to rally together and raise enough to send the girls a coffee truck full of snacks and treats to enjoy with their fellow artists and staff at this week’s SBS ‘The Show’ recording session!

It’s amazing to see what becomes possible when fans from around the world come together and hold support events through Kooky, and we hope the burning passion of Beochus around the world reaches BUSTERS and gives them the power to keep going!
We have more behind the scenes to share with you from BUSTERS, so make sure to look out!
