Until 2020, WEi members focused on individual and group activities without a clear connection, but they began to be mentioned together following a 2020 Lunar New Year greeting video by OUI Entertainment, with the name "WeBoys" first appearing during a TikTok Live on March 6, 2020, and they officially debuted on October 5, 2020, with their 1st mini album IDENTITY: First Sight, featuring the music video for "TWILIGHT," which garnered over 5 million views in a day.
☆ 2020 : Debut Showcase was held on October 5 via V LIVE. And "TWILIGHT", the debut song achieved over 10 million views by October 8.
☆ 2021 : WEi celebrated their 100th day of debut on January 12, 2021, receiving their first award at the APAN Music Awards, released their 2nd mini album IDENTITY: Challenge on February 24 with notable growth in sales, made a comeback with their 3rd mini album IDENTITY: Action on June 9, where the music video for "BYE BYE BYE" broke view records, and celebrated their 300th day of debut on July 31.
☆ 2022 : On February 16, 2022, WEi marked their 500th day since debut, released their 4th mini album Love Pt.1: First Love on March 16 with strong initial sales, and held their first world tour from September 4 to October 9, culminating in the release of their 5th mini album Love Pt.2: Passion on October 19.
☆ 2023 : Released their 6th mini album Love Pt.3: Eternally on June 29.
☆ 2024 : WEi made a comeback in Japan on February 14 with their 2nd mini album WAVE. Kim Yohan did not participate due to individual activities. they also announced a digital single LOVE2YOU set for release on August 30.

- All six members of WEi—Daehyeon, Donghan, Yongha, Yohan, Seokhwa, and Junseo—were previously part of different survival programs or project groups before forming WEi. For example, Kim Yohan gained significant popularity through the show "Produce X 101" and was part of the project group X1, while Kim Donghan was a member of JBJ, which was formed from the show "Produce 101 Season 2."
