Recently we’ve looked a lot at idols who are skilled in other unexpected ways, so today we’ll introduce you to four idols who master the kitchen as well as the stage! If you were already mesmerised by their excellent performances, get ready to be awestruck with their amazing cooking skills.

SEVENTEEN Mingyu

First on our list is SVT’s Mingyu, who wowed the audience during his appearance on a cooking show called ‘One Fine Day’ where he showcased his skill in the kitchen. As a result, he was dubbed with the nickname “MingJooBoo” or “Ming Housewife”, not only because he's a phenomenal cook but also because he’s known to be good at many different kinds of housework. One of his unique cooking skills is his ability to take any everyday meal and make it look like it belongs on the menu of a high-end restaurant.

EXO D.O

D.O is another idol with a noticeable knack for cooking. Amongst his fans it’s common knowledge that he took cooking classes in the past, and also a certificate in Korean Cuisine! He showcased his interest in cooking during the reality show ‘EXO’s Travel the World on a Ladder’ and his skill was recognised to the point that he actually ended up being given the opportunity to cook during his military service.

BTS Jin

It’s a long known fact that Jin of BTS loves to eat, as showcased through his numerous vlives where he hosts his Mukbang show ‘Eat Jin’, during which he live streams while eating various kinds of food and teasing his fans with how delicious it is. However, many besides his fans may not know that Jin is also an excellent chef too. As the eldest member, Jin is known for having cooked for the rest of BTS, yet despite claiming cooking is only his hobby he’s often invited to hang out with famous chefs - all of which have complimented his skills.

ATEEZ WooYoung

Wooyoung is another idol who often showcases his cooking skills; he revealed his love for cooking has been with him for a long time as he said that his first dream was to be an idol, and his second dream was to be a chef! He already has a Korean Chef certificate and has learnt the art of cooking alongside many famous Korean Chefs. Not only does he often cook in the dorms, but he also has a four-episode cooking show on Youtube, where he primarily cooks Korean food because he says he wants to introduce Korean cuisine to his international fans.
