XIUMIN of EXO makes his long-awaited return with his second mini album [Interview X], coming approximately two years and six months after his solo debut with [Brand New]. While his first release captured bright and playful energy, this new album dives deeper into emotion and maturity, offering a richer glimpse into the artist behind the name.

The title [Interview X] hints at a personal and introspective journey. The ‘X’ symbolizes the unknown—questions yet to be asked, sides of XIUMIN yet to be seen. This album is structured like a self-interview, with each track representing a question and answer that unravels his artistry, one layer at a time.

Across six tracks, XIUMIN seamlessly blends various genres with his distinct vocal color, expanding his musical spectrum and inviting listeners to explore new dimensions of his sound. As the songs unfold, listeners are naturally led to piece together the many facets of XIUMIN as a solo artist.

The title track “WHEE!” is a UK garage-based dance song bursting with style and rhythm. With a Jersey Club beat, textured synths, and XIUMIN’s trendy vocal performance, the track delivers a punch of bright, contagious energy—just like the line says: “Let the sound travel far, once more—WHEE! WHEE!”

Following that, “Can’t Help Myself” captures the pull of irresistible attraction, unfolding as a pop track filled with subtle emotion and bold charm. “Make You LaLa” kicks off with a lively guitar riff, blending colorful sounds with XIUMIN’s refreshing vocals for an instant mood booster.

“Switch Off” slows things down with soft guitar lines and dreamy melodies, creating a hazy, almost ethereal soundscape. Then there’s “Lost Paradise,” which leans into a more mature tone with a deep bass and sleek synths, showcasing yet another side of XIUMIN’s musicality.

Closing the album is “Love is U,” a heartfelt fan song penned in part by fellow EXO-CBX member CHEN. The lyrics capture cherished memories and warm affection for fans, wrapping the album in a gentle, emotional embrace.
