💡Writer’s bio : My name is Rhea-Ross Chan, a Creative Writing student from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines. July is coming near and we know how star-studded K-POP July birthday celebrants are! Each of these idols have their own way of giving back to the love and support of their fans, that’s why TREASURE’s Yoon Jaehyuk took this opportunity to show his appreciation to Treasure Makers and his Jaengels.

During his birthday celebration last year, July 23, 2022 Jaehyuk decided to prepare a small Cafe Event for his fans to visit and be able to celebrate with him despite not seeing each other face-to-face. He prepared the decorations and designed the Cafe near YG Entertainment where his fans could take a photo. Together with this, are 300 loot bags with snacks, a ring and even a handwritten letter from him!

We often see fans who prepare cafe events, cupsleeve events, photobooth events, etc. To commemorate the birthday of their idols, however, have you seen an Idol being the one to prepare the event for their fans? Well, Yoon Jaehyuk proved that idols can really feel thankful from the bottom of their hearts! Doing this project, without thinking that this is all for fan-service, he wanted to do it for his fans that Jaehyuk even spent his own salary for this project!

On a YouTube content published on TREASURE’s Official Channel, TMI-LOG Episode 19 Yoon Jaehyuk showed the behind the scenes and step-by-step process of his birthday surprise event for his fans. Of course, the camaraderie of TREASURE was also seen on the vlog! Choi Hyunsuk (TREASURE’s Leader) is hands on with helping Jaehyuk prepare the event, while the other members were seen helping him pack the loot bags and keeping him company during the process.

Jaehyuk proved that there are angels on earth! Instead of receiving the usual interaction between fans and idols where the fans are the ones giving to their idol, he chooses to be the one giving on his birthday. The handwritten letters are already such big work especially that they have training, practices and other contents to shoot and do, but he really insisted on doing it as well as decorating the whole cafe for Treasure Makers and Jaengels to enjoy.

He is really known to be kind and loves to take care of his members. He never fails to surprise them on their birthdays and on special occasions! Jaehyuk is always the one to lead, conceptualize and plan the birthday surprises of his members. It is visible how his love language really is, gift giving and the reason why he loves to do this is that he learned this from his family.

Jaehyuk said he received so much love already that he wanted to share it with others.

This is why we should show our support, love and appreciation toward Yoon Jaehyuk, he is a one of a kind idol! Humble, selfless, talented and hardworking, you can use all the good adjectives to describe him.
